2023 Ambassadors
Enock Glidden, Athlete and Motivational Speaker
We are excited and honored to have Enock Glidden joining us as an ambassador for the 2023 Cross for LifeFlight! Enock is a passionate outdoorsman who enjoys climbing, biking and skiing. He was born with Spina Bifida and pursues these adventures without the use of his legs. When he’s not outside, Enock works as a motivational speaker, and advocates for others with disabilities. For his Cross, he’ll be hiking in the Bethel area in preparation for an even bigger adventure. Enock is training to climb Mt. Rainier in Washington. "I support LifeFlight of Maine because when I was growing up in Patten, I had serious medical issues related to being born with Spina Bifida. I was in the hospital a lot. Had LifeFlight existed when I was a child, I am sure I would have used their services. I Cross so that LifeFlight will continue to be there for other Maine families. Because I travel throughout Maine for my job, I know the vast areas of the state that depend on LifeFlight. Maine would be a lot less safe without LifeFlight!"

Ali Simonds, The Maine Lakes Mermaid
The Maine Lakes Mermaid double dipping as a Cross Ambassador again this summer. Ali Simonds is swimming 31 lakes in 31 days this August and hopes to hit the 200 lakes mark in early September! She swam her first 100 Maine lakes as a Cross Ambassador in 2022 and eventually hopes to swim every lake in Maine as a tribute to her late father who was always proud of her and her swimming skills. “I am crossing for everyone in Maine so if they ever need the services of LifeFlight they are sure to have it. It may sound corny, but I love this state so much that I am using what I have to give -swimming to raise awareness of water safety/clean water-and my partnership with LifeFlight - in hopes of making a positive impact for all Mainers.”

Nicolle Littrell, DoryWoman Rowing
The Cross for LifeFlight is grateful to Nicolle Littrell - AKA DoryWoman Rowing - for serving as a Cross Ambassador once again this summer. Nicolle does A LOT of Crossing in Belfast and Penobscot Bay in her traditional-style wooden dory for her unique on the water business, DoryWoman Rowing. “With all the Crossing I do, I see LifeFlight helicopters overhead all the time, and it just makes sense to put some of my miles to work fundraising for an organization I totally believe in and support. I row between 30-45 miles a week and I'm hoping supporters will come on board to row some of those miles with me by doing a lesson or guided tour--and also make a donation on my Cross page to meet my goal of $2500!”
